Zynga Accused Had violated Its Copyright In The Facebook Game 'The Sims Social'

United States - Giant games publisher Electronic Arts (EA) on behalf of Maxis label, Zynga accused had violated its copyright in the Facebook game 'The Sims Social'.

EA Maxis General Manager Lucy Bradshaw said, Zynga's games TheVille deliberately copied the original and distinctive elements of The Sims Social. EA even describe the level of plagiarism 'does Zynga to The Sims, so comprehensive and difficult to distinguish.

Zynga, as quoted from the Business Insider, Monday (08/06/2012), then respond to this allegation. TheVille says was built on top of every major innovation of the existing investment game.


"Starting from YoVille, then continues to make CityVille and CastleVille, then introduced a number of social features and new game mechanism that does not exist in the current social game," the statement Zynga.

Reggie Davis as General Counsel Zynga also said it was ironic to know EA was filed shortly after the launch of SimCity Social CityVille it shows similarities with that Zynga has released first.

"We will defend our rights to the fullest and try to win it," said Davis.

Meanwhile EA, through blog posts Bradshaw also provides a number of records the activities of 'trace' of the work done Zynga game developers.
