Surpass Blackberry, ZTE Is In order of Five World Smartphone Vendor

Beijing - It did not take long for ZTE surging smartphone market. ZTE is now the fifth largest smartphone manufacturer in the world after posting a shipment of mobile phones in large numbers in the second quarter of this year.

Based on data from global research firm IDC, ZTE shipped eight million smartphones in the second quarter of 2012. This figure shows an impressive growth of 300 percent from a year ago in the same period.

ZTE is now accounted for a market share of about 5.2 percent of global smartphone sales with the majority in China, France, Britain and the United States. ZTE to within 0.5 percent after that HTC was fourth and closed to within 1.4 percent of Nokia in third.
