Remove Search Feature In The Galaxy S III, Samsung Acknowledged The Error

London - Samsung acknowledged that the decision to remove the search feature in its flagship smartphone is a mistake. South Korean vendors are also promised to release new software to correct these errors.

"Upgrade the latest software for the Galaxy S III, among others, including the elimination of the search function on purpose," Samsung said in a statement quoted by the BBC, Friday (27/07/2012).

"Samsung will provide the appropriate software upgrade in the next few days," said Samsung.

Another mentioned information, users who download the update was not given a warning or some sort of notification that the search function on the smartphone will be eliminated.

As is known, Samsung removes the search function in order to avoid a new patent war with Apple. Apple rivals claim that the search for a file on the phone is not only completely patented, but is his patent.

This search function is an important feature that helps users search for contacts, applications and other content on smartphones.

Galaxy S III in the United States is the first target of the Samsung software update to avoid applying the ban on imports of the smartphone. Furthermore, gradually Samsung will release the update availability for all Galaxy S III globally.
